Goin’ to the Chapel | Duquesne University Wedding | Pittsburgh, PA

On Saturday, August 10th, 2019,  I returned to my alma mater on The Bluff to film the wedding of Jaclyn Daher and DeVaughn Mitchell in my favorite little chapel.  I knew Jackie from college and was thrilled when she reached out to me about helping her to preserve the memory of her wedding day.  After a couple of coffee dates leading up to the occasion, I could tell she was planning a gorgeous event and I couldn’t wait to see it all come together.

Jackie and DeVaughn exchanged vows during a traditional Catholic mass in the Chapel of the Holy Sprit at Duquesne University in Downtown, Pittsburgh. The stained glass that lines each side of the church let in the most beautiful light throughout the ceremony.  Afterwards, Jackie and DeVaughn posed with their loved ones for photos around campus.  The red brick along Academic Walk makes the perfect backdrop for portraits!!

Soon enough, the bridal party caught up with guests at Veltre’s Wedding and Event Center for an elegant reception decorated in the most beautiful pink and white flowers designed by May Chester.  Floor to ceiling windows illuminated the space with stunning natural light.  I always love this venue!!!

The Newlyweds and several of their guests killed it on the dance floor with some of the best moves I’ve ever seen at a wedding! DJ Crush had the floor packed all night long and did a seamless job of keeping the event running smoothly.

Congratulations Jackie and DeVaughn!  I can’t wait to see what’s next for the two of you!
