Last Fall, Samantha and Matthew threw the most elegant wedding at George Washington Hotel in Washington, PA and I had the privilege of capturing it all on video! I arrived that afternoon during a light drizzle, which created the most romantic and serene atmosphere for their first look. Matt waited for his bride beneath the covered front entrance of the stone courthouse just across the street from the hotel.
Samantha looked stunning as she walked towards us caring a clear umbrella that paired so well with her gorgeous embroidered gown and sweetheart neckline! There’s nothing better than witnessing the first moment between a bride and groom on their wedding day, so I was so happy they invited me along for their first look.
I had the pleasure of working alongside photographer, Jeannine Bonadio for the first time and funny enough, I recognized her second shooter Talia Nelson from the neighborhood where I grew up! Had a blast with those ladies all day!!!
Sam and Matt exchanged vows inside a bright and airy ballroom lined with windows letting in some beautiful light!! Next, came my favorite part of the evening… Sam and Matt surprised their guests with a traditional Chinese Lion Dance to kick off the reception! The Lion Dance has been part of the Chinese culture for thousands of years and is performed at special occasions. The lion, a symbol of power, wisdom, and good fortune, chases away evil spirits and brings happiness, longevity, and good luck.
DJ Mark Rambo provided the music for evening! I’ve worked with him in the past and am always impressed with his professionalism and sound quality!
I feel so blessed that Sam and Matt trusted me to document these treasured moments and I’m thrilled to help them look back on the memories!!
