The Happy Hippie Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Miley Cyrus with a mission to rally young people to fight injustice facing homeless youth, LGBTQ+ youth, and other vulnerable populations.

With a desired to amplify this message in her hometown, Shannon Chavez founded Happy Hippie Foundation PGH in 2023. We’re so excited to partner with Miley and her community to spread love and kindness throughout the city of Pittsburgh, PA and beyond!

We don’t have all the answers, but we do know that good things happen when good people come together, so we’ve decided to start by hosting safe, sober, family-friendly events in the city to bridge gaps and build connections. All are welcome!

We’ll meet rain or shine at Grandview Park in Mt. Washington on the third Thursday of May, June, July, and August of 2024 at 7:00 pm with music, games, and art supplies!

This year, we’re collaborating with Creating Balance for Sunset Yoga Sessions from 8-8:45 pm. Be sure to bring a mat or towel and a donation for Sam if you’d like to participate.

There is a water fountain at the park to fill your bottle!

Feel free to stick around after sundown, for a movie night with The Golden Order and bring a folding chair or blanket to get cozy!

These events are drug and alcohol free. Please honor all park rules and be kind to fellow happy hippies and park patrons. We can’t wait to see you this Summer!
